You can grow the online profile of your business through listing your business address and website on these sites. Ensure you are consistent with the information you submit, use the same contact info, email address and logos to ensure that your brand sends the right message across these channels:
Google My Business (https://www.google.com/business/) – The big one! You need to be listed here, if you do nothing else. Submit your info, within around 4 days Google will send you a verification code to enter on your listing. You are then verified and will begin to appear higher in Google search results and will have a verified presence on Google Maps.
LinkedIn Company Page (https://www.linkedin.com/company/setup/new/) – If you have a LinkedIn profile you can create a company page, with logos, links and a company description. You can then use this page for promotion, networking and building your online presence.
Bing Places For Business (https://www.bingplaces.com/) – Although not as big as Google, Bing is still a great place to showcase your business with a free, verified listing to give your local SEO a boost. If you have already completed your Google My Business listing you can import the listing into Bing to speed up the process. Verification can be completed by post, which takes 1-2 weeks, although you can speed up the process by installing the app and verifying by phone.
Yell (https://www.yell.com/) – What used to be the Yellow Page, is now Yell. Yell allows you to create a business profile, with website links and business descriptions. It’s free to create a listing and requires a short telephone conversation to confirm your account. You should prepare yourself though for a follow up ‘consultation’ in which they will attempt to sell you a marketing package and enhanced listing.
Yelp (https://biz.yelp.co.uk) – Yelp is a directory site like Yell, but with more of community focus. Users are allowed, and encouraged to create their own entries and reviews. A verified business listing allows you to list business details, links, descriptions and business opening hours.
Scoot (https://www.scoot.co.uk/) – Scoot gives you a multiple hit, being the base directory for Touch Local, The Independent, The Sun, and The Mirror, enabling you to reach a wide number of potential customers.
